thank you so much! Appreciate the love :)
Thanks dude(tte) - It’s from Barbour, the Chelsea sportsquilt. It’s the heavier version, so don’t get the featherweight one. I got it from overseas — it was a bit difficult to find here in the states. It was interestingly cheaper as well. But places like Orvis should have it here domestically.
Aw thanks! The love is much appreciated, thanks for stopping by. It’s always nice to know people enjoy my musings. Cheers!
Thanks brother, I appreciate the words! The dub monks are holding up quite well. I’ve been wearing them often and I really can’t complain. At the price point ($298), they’re some of the best i’ve seen from an aesthetic perspective. I’ve gotten a bunch of compliments and the slight burnish on the toe is a great detail. They definitely have my cosign. I mean, if you can only buy one pair of shoes I’d go for something laced (I’m a big fan of Allen Edmonds, similar price point, too) because overall it’s a more versatile shoe. But if you’re looking for a GTH pair of shoes or just a second pair of casual/formal kicks - absolutely go for it.
Made in Italy, genuine leather, goodyear welted. I really like the last on them. The toe is slightly elongated but not to a point. It has a nice rounded edge, that stands out with the cap-toe. For the price point, i’m very happy with the product. I wore them yesterday with a suit to a wedding and today to brunch with jeans. Super versatile shoe.
